Travelling through the Seas of Europe

In Poland
Enidras and her friends reached the Baltic Sea. They were a bit surprised that waters here are so cold. They were swimmining and swimming until they got Hel Penisula. Suddenly  the crowded place caught their eyes.  Pupils from Rumia were standing in front of a big bulding. Curiosity drove them to sea this place.

It was the sunny day when they finally reached the Seal House, where Mrs Seal was waiting anxiously for them

She welcomed the guests  and took them for a tour to show the place, where people help Baltic seals.
The team saw daily routines and people looking after seals.

„The Seal House Institution organises classes for pupils to teach them how to protect the sea and seals” Mrs Seal said.
In the afternoon  Mrs Seal invited her friends to the Chopin concert in the depth of the Baltic cold waters. Mr Herring Silver, a well known pianists was playing  with great enthusiasm.  The audience seemed to be mesmerised.
“ Just like the Picaso ‘s Mermaid voice” , Mrs Rayfish said.
The team spent a great day on the penisula. In the evening they dived for  delicious dinner in the restaurant “ Baltic Seashell”.  The restaurant was very elegant decorated in amber stones, which left as the reminiscents of The Queen Jurata Amber Palace destroyed by  Perkun. The restaurant served  delicios seafood ; jelly fished-shaped seats impressed the team. They had a good time.
After dinner they directed to the hotel  „Miramar” . Next  Mrs Seal and her friends set a sail to the seaport in Gdynia. They wanted to see and meet sea creatures from the whole world, which found their new home in Aquarium in Gdynia.

Near the cost they noticed a destroyer „Błyskawica” and three-masted sailing ship used in the past as a training ship -„Dar Pomorza”. Now there is the museum.

Next they were swimming along the Bulevard, where they saw the statue of the three fish.  They admired the pier in Orłowo and the cliff.

Satisfied and tired the team decided to have a snack. While dining Mr Clam was telling amazing stories he expierenced in the past. His stories were very gripping so the whole team was listening to him with their mouth open.
Near the cliff in Gdynia Orłowo Enidras, Fela and their friends  met Mr Salmon.
Mrs Seal introduced herself nicely.
Enidras  also introduced herself  and her friends because she was well-behaved.
“ Hello! My name is Enidras”
-„ Good Morning travelers” – Mr Salmon replied.
-„This is Mrs Jellyfish, Mr Mussel, Mr Maratuma and Mrs Rayfish. Would you like to join us and show us Sopot city?”,  Enidras asked.
- „With pleasure” ,Mr Salmon replied.
They all went on a trip to Sopot. Suddenly they stopped far away  the longest wooden pier.

-„Look there!  What a strange sea creature ?”,  Enidras asked.
- „It must be the exotic fish”-Mr. Salmon thought loudly
They came closer and suddenly they were stunned
-“Remember? We saw it in  Hamburg”-, Mr.  Clam said.
-„Right indeed”
-„It’s a tanker but there is  a strange black spot around” , Mrs. Jellyfish screamed.

When they were looking around , they  realised it was……
-„ Oh no! Do not touch it! It’ s oil.”,  Mr. Salmon said.
-„What is the oil?”, Enidras asked.
-„It’s a fuel used by people to travel by cars, planes and ships”- Mrs.  Seal explained-„but it is very dangerous when it gets into the sea”- she added.
-„ I remember …many years ago there was oil leakage in the Baltic as a result of the ship collision  ” , Mrs Jellyfish said.
The brave team decided to inform local fishermen, who were fishing in the neighborhood They were jumping very high to alarm people.

Porpoises joined the team to help.  Fishermen noticed the unusual  group of sea animals.  They came closer and noticed oil floating.

Shocked by what they had just seen, fisherman called the coast guard to prevent ecological catastrophe.
Enidras and her friends were happy and proud of their behavior.
Soon they reached Gdańsk.  In Gdańsk they came across very old water mill.

The team also saw the Three Crosses Monument in the memory of people who were killed in their fight to freedom their country.

Finally they reached the River of Motława. There was a medieval crane used in the past to load ships.

On the way back  from Gdańsk Mr.  Mussel, Mrs. Rayfish, Mr. Maratuna, Mrs Jellyfish and Enidras collected  amber, seashells and pebbles.

Their journey is going to end but their friendship is forever. Together they learnt, played and travelled. Now it is time to travel home. Enidras said „Good bye” to their friends and came back to Chipiona to tell what she learnt during the Fishmenius Project.      Probably one day she is going to visit other seas …but she promised to come back to Poland.
The end
